Sailors Grave Brewing is at its heart a farmhouse brewery located on the banks of the Snowy River in a 100yr old butter factory in the township of Orbost East Gippsland, Australia.
Inspired by a treacherous cove at Cape Conran, their beers are representations of culture and experience with the ocean and coastal rural living. Founders Chris and Gab Moore make the most of the bountiful land around them, incorporating indigenous botanicals picked in the bush, salt, weed and sea life, as well as fruits, grains & produce from local farms & orchards and wild yeasts from their backyard.
To say their beers are unique is an understatement. They are regarded as sometimes too challenging. However, one cannot ignore the creativity and subtle layers of complexity.
